MAN CRASHED ALLEGEDLY STOLEN CAR, THEN RESISTS ARREST BY 5 POLICE OFFICERS

A 42-year-old man was arrested following an accident with a truck, with the car that he was driving allegedly stolen, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The incident happened on 5 June at about 5.55pm, along Sengkang East Way heading towards Sengkang West Way.

The car had hit the rear of the truck, with the bonnet of the car being crushed by the impact of the collision, and fragments were seen strewn across the road.

Resisting arrest

The man was seen struggling and resisting arrest when the police officers tried to subdue him, and he was reported shouting that his chest hurts as he shouted at them to let go, according to SMDN.

He was seen in photos being subdued by about 5 police officers, and after he was handcuffed, he was carried into the police car by 4 officers.

The 30-year-old truck driver in the accident was conveyed to Sengkang General Hospital conscious.

A spokesperson for the Singapore Police Force confirmed that the man was arrested for theft and at the time of writing, police investigations are still ongoing.
