Man Dragged From Car During Heated Confrontation At Bedok Reservoir Carpark
A tense late-night confrontation at Bedok Reservoir has gone viral online after a man was filmed dragging another man out of his vehicle while shouting a stream of vulgarities.
The incident, which reportedly took place near the entrance of a carpark along Bedok Reservoir View, quickly attracted attention on social media after videos surfaced showing the dramatic exchange between the two men.
Clips circulating online show a man in a grey shirt confronting a driver dressed in green. The confrontation escalated when the man in grey opened the car door and physically pulled the driver out of the vehicle while loudly accusing him of dangerous behaviour.
Video Of Altercation Draws Hundreds Of Comments Online
The videos were shared by an Instagram account known for posting local incidents, and they quickly gained traction online. Within a short time, the clips attracted more than 265,000 views along with hundreds of reactions and comments from netizens.
In the footage, the man in grey repeatedly shouts accusations while pointing at the driver, suggesting that the driver had been using a substance near the car door.
The driver, who appears shaken, can be seen falling to the ground more than once as the confrontation unfolds. Throughout the exchange, he repeatedly apologises while the other man continues scolding him loudly.
At one point, the man shouting can be heard questioning the driver’s actions and warning about the potential danger posed to others around them.
Allegations Of Kpod Use Raised During Dispute
During the confrontation, the man in grey accuses the driver of smoking a Kpod. Kpods are electronic cigarette cartridges that contain etomidate, a powerful anaesthetic drug.
In Singapore, the sale, import and possession of such substances are strictly prohibited under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Authorities have repeatedly warned that these cartridges can pose serious health risks and are illegal to possess.
However, it remains unclear whether the driver was actually using such a device during the incident, and there has been no official confirmation regarding the allegation.
After pulling the driver from the car, the man in grey eventually enters the vehicle himself while the driver attempts to hold the door open. The situation becomes chaotic as both men continue arguing beside the car.
Bystanders Attempt To Calm The Situation
During the altercation, a passer-by approaches the two men in an apparent attempt to defuse the situation.
Another bystander, who appears to be recording the incident, can be heard advising the driver to park the vehicle properly inside the carpark instead of stopping at the entrance.
Despite the advice, the driver exits the vehicle again and continues arguing with the man who had confronted him earlier.
Based on the surroundings visible in the video, the incident appears to have taken place near the carpark entrance of the Longvale Housing Board estate along Bedok Reservoir View.
Netizens Divided Over Man’s Actions
Online reactions to the incident were mixed. Some commenters felt the situation should have been handled by authorities instead of escalating into a physical confrontation.
Several users suggested that the man should have contacted the police rather than intervening directly.
Others argued that if the driver had indeed been behaving dangerously, stepping in could have prevented a potentially serious situation.
Meanwhile, some viewers focused less on the confrontation itself and more on the intensity of the man’s outburst, with a few joking about how passionately the vulgarities were delivered.
As of now, it remains unclear whether any formal police report has been made regarding the incident. Authorities have also not confirmed whether illegal substances were involved.
