My mind was filled with thoughts of my ex-girlfriend. It had been months since our break-up, but the pain and longing were still there.
That’s when I saw a girl who looked like her when I went to a pub one day. She was dressed in a skimpy outfit, her long hair flowing down her back. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
It was like she was an exact replica of my ex-girlfriend.
Started to have butterflies in my stomach
I felt a familiar tug in my heart, and before I knew it, I was pulling up beside her. We talked for a while, and I felt like I was in a trance. I couldn’t believe it was just like the same girl I’d loved and lost.
The next thing I knew, we were in my car. I drove us to a nearby hotel, and we spent the night together. I had never felt so alive and fulfilled.
The next morning, I woke up with a newfound hope in my heart. I thought maybe I could make this work and that maybe I’d found my true love.
But what I didn’t know was that the girl I’d fallen for was actually a ‘chicken’.
She demanded payment when I woke up.
I had been duped, and I felt betrayed and angry. I had allowed myself to be taken advantage of, and I felt foolish.
Vowed to move on and thankfully I did
That experience completely changed my outlook on life. I had allowed myself to be taken advantage of, and I vowed never to let that happen again. I had been blind and stupid, and I learned my lesson the hard way.
My heartache was worse than ever before, but I knew I had to move on. I had to find a way to be happy and to trust again, even if it was with someone completely different from the girl who had looked like my ex-girlfriend.
I eventually did find someone I could trust, but I was never able to forget that night. It changed me forever, and it taught me a valuable lesson. I learned to be more cautious and to never let my guard down.
I thank God that I didn’t make a bigger mistake, and I know now that love isn’t always what it seems.
