MAN FOCUS ON CAREER INSTEAD OF SALARY SINCE HE GOT ZERO REPLIES FROM EMPLOYERS

I’ve graduated. I’m currently unemployed and is still job hunting.

Many ppl around gave different advices and at the end of the day, you just have to understand what exactly you want to achieve yourself.

I started off thinking I can get a good-paying job with my engineering degree since the news keep saying its the employee’s market at that moment. But after several applications, I received zero replies due to my lousy results and inexperience.

I reflected upon myself thinking if I want to pursue the career path as an engineer since I had already lost my interest in this field and my technical skills are not that great either. Being an engineer has became less appealing to me and I started to look into other industries. Since then, I’ve alr stopped caring about salary and focus on a career with prospects instead.

I’m interested in a particular industry and I began sending in many resumes but to no avail. I’ve even applied for diploma level entry roles but still, there was no response. It’s quite disheartening to see ppl on linkedin with an irrelevant diploma background getting the job but mine was not considered.

Not even an interview chance for me to explain that I’m willing to start from the bottom of the industry for experience. I’ve also tried signing on but was unsuccessful as well.

There were times that I felt like a failure, a discouraged worker, and I do not believe that it was ever an employee’s market since a company can still function at the point of time before hiring you. I would think about jobs almost every night as I face reality and would shed a tear to sleep sometimes. It has been a long time since I ever truly felt pure happiness, enjoyment without any stress. I try to stay positive and distract myself, and have accepted the fact that because of my poor results and lack of networking skills, I just have to take a longer route.

It was also during this period I came across the term NEET- Not in Education, Employment or Training. I read some of the forums where other ppl around the world share their NEEThood and was shocked to see that ppl are actually seriously discussing about ending their lives. This sort of woke me up and that I’ve learnt to stop comparing lives with others and also to ignore other ppl’s opinion about me. I am not giving up and am still continuing to apply for jobs. To the OP of Confession32538, tough times don’t last, tough man do.”
