
A leopard never changes its spots, a man who was first sent to a juvenile home when he was 12-years-old committed a series of crimes as an adult.
30-year-old Lewis Fang Jun Zhe was sentenced to 5 years in jail and banned from holding all driving licenses for 2 years. Facing a total of 42 charges, he pleaded guilty to 15 of them.
What happen
In Feb 2018, he was staying over at his friend’s home and used his Ibanking details to transfer SGD$100,000 to his own bank account while the victim was asleep. He then transferred another S$30,000 to his girlfriend’s account.
Between Oct 2018 and March 2019, he paid club waiters to steal credit card information for him and stolen 200 credit cards which he used the credit card details to top up EZ-link cards amounting to SGD$30,000 and later transfer them back to his bank account.
In March 2019, he stole his brother’s passport in order to get a new ATM card from OCBC bank and even change the pin details of the original cardholder. He then withdrew cash and transferred funds to his own bank account amounting to a total of SGD$27,080.
He later even send voice messages to his mother threatening to burn down their house or will chop them.
Not long after, he procured a fake driving license for SGD$500 and rented an Audi, he was caught after beating a red light.
In November 2019, he moved to his god-sisters home and started sharing drugs with them, the drugs were stored in the home in an unlocked cabinet that the couple’s 8-year-old child could access.
