A netizen bought some food from a Penang Savour outlet at Rivervale Plaza on 11 January, and was about to eat an egg from the meal when he found a strand of hair on it, as reported by The Independent Singapore.

He had apparently paid $11.40 for a bowl of Prawn Mee and another “Set A” meal.
The netizen captioned his post: “See there hair on the egg and show it to the staff. The staff say this is not hair, is banana leaf. (SIC)”
He then included a photo of the egg with the strand of hair stuck on the surface.
He said that he asked the staff at the eatery again about the strand of hair that he found, and they insisted that it “really is not hair, but is banana leaf.”
