MAN IN 30s SAY NOW SG GIRL SAME SIAM BU, A LOT HAVE UPGRADED NOSES AND NEI NEI

Bro, is it just me or has the aesthetic meta in Singapore completely shifted over the last few years?

I’m a 30+ guy who recently got back into the dating scene after a long relationship break. Started downloading the apps again (Coffee Meets Bagel, Tinder, Bumble), going out to Holland Village, CQ, and CBD bars after work… and damn, I thought I accidentally imported my location to Bangkok or JB.

Last time when we were in our early 20s (UNI days), local girls were super low maintenance. Standard uniform was fBT shorts, oversized white tee, flip flops, zero makeup, or at most some basic eyeliner and tinted lip balm. Very girl-next-door, natural look.

Now? Almost every second profile or girl I see in town has:

  1. The Upgraded Nose (L-implants / Rib cartilage): Super high bridge, pin-straight, ultra-refined tip. The kind where if light hits at a certain angle, you can practically see through the skin.
  2. The “Nei Nei” Enhancement: Used to be standard A/B cup across the board, suddenly everyone is rocking solid C/D cups with insane cleavage even in basic crop tops.
  3. The Full Siam Bu Starter Pack: Dolly eyes, micro-bladed brows, heavy contouring, filler lips, and that porcelain-white skin filter look IRL.

Don’t get me wrong ah, people want to tune their body with their own earned money, up to them. Self-investment what. If a guy can spend $3k on a custom PC / RTX GPU or buy hair plugs in JB, girls can go medical tourism in Bangkok/Korea/JB to upgrade their hardware also. Nothing wrong.

But the uncanny valley effect is REAL. You meet up for a date, and instead of feeling like you’re talking to a local girl you can relate with, it feels like you’re sitting opposite a high-tier Thai KTV hostess or an IG influencer template. The worst part is they ALL end up looking identical—same nose profile, same chin shape, same chest ratio. Zero individual character left.

Where did all the natural, simple SG girls go? Or is this just the new default standard once girls hit their late 20s/30s and start getting disposable income?

Genuinely curious—guys, you prefer this upgraded Siam Bu aesthetic, or you miss the old-school low-maintenance SG girl look?
