Should I still learn driving in my 30s
For some reason I didn’t pick up driving and get my license when younger in my 20s. I have no plans to purchase a car either in the very near future due to the cost.
However, I feel that driving seems like quite a gd skill to have. Sometimes I feel quite ignorant when people ard me talk abt road stuff that I’m clueless about.
If I get my license, getting an off peak car for weekend drives out with my family may be a possible option.
I’m doing freelance work now, and it may still be possible to squeeze in driving lessons sometime during the next yr, though I’m not sure if it will actually work out. Needs quite a bit of planning.
Also, the costs of getting a license now has increased alot compared to years ago, which is also why I’m having second thoughts.
What do you all think? Is anyone out there also like myself, and considering whether to take up driving next yr? 🙂

- Age doesnt and shouldnt deter u from learning a new skill. I also hardly drive, but if i want to, i could since i got the license. So it is better to have it than none. Driving can be quite fun haha and useful if u want to drive overseas as well 🙂
- My mom finally got her license at 55 after i bought a family car. Growing up, we never had a car. Oh and shes the panicky sort of person. If she can, you can, scratch that, anyone can.
Fees are definitely more expensive now for obvious reasons but let none of these issues hinder you from going for it.
Pragmatically speaking, only get a car if you really need it. - Yes you should. I think it’s a good skill to have. I only learned driving when I was in my mid 20s as I didn’t have money or time before that to start driving lessons.
I hardly drive nowadays cos I actually really like taking public transport and my husband usually drives. However if you put a gun to my head I will be able to drive. It is a good skill to have. Just get started with your basic theory first and take it from there.
