A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to 28 weeks of jail on the 31 Aug 2020 after he was found guilty of molesting another man while he was asleep.
The man was charged with one count of trespassing and one count of molestation.
The incident happened on the 05 Jun 2019, the man was loitering outside the victim’s home at 3.34 am. The man then decided to break into the victim’s home after noticing that the door was unlocked.
Upon entering the unit, the man noticed the man sleeping in his bedroom while naked. The man then proceeds to take off all his clothes and join the victim in his bed. After seeing the victim deep in his sleep, the man then molested the victim’s buttock.
The victim woke up and shouted at the man while trying to cover himself with his pillow. The man then runs out of the unit after he was caught. The victim then alerted the police after the incident.
After investigations, the police managed to identify the identity of the man with the aid of the CCTV and arrested the man.
