A man who was previously jailed for a year for insulting the modesty of his own daughter was sentenced to 24 years of jail with 24 strokes of the cane after he sexually abused 2 other children.
The mother of the 2 children is his lover. The girl and boy are aged 8 and 9 years old. Both the children have low IQ and the boy is mentally challenged.
The man took the children to a hotel and made them perform a sexual act on one another while he watched and took a video of them in the act.
The abuse lasted for 2 years before the children stop meeting the man.
4 years later, the man met the girl by chance when she was 14 years old and the girl had sex with the man in exchange for money and cigarettes.
The man pleaded guilty to 3 counts of aggravated sexual assault by penetration yesterday (17 July).
According to the court document, the man had abused the children between 2012 to 2014 while having an affair with their mother. He regularly meets the family for dinner at a coffee shop near their home.
After some time, he asked permission from the parents to bring the children out on his own. He will take the children out to have meals and to play at the arcade. He then obtained his lover’s permission to let them have a sleepover with him in a hotel saying that he wants to spend more time with them.
During the sleepover, he will let the children watch adult films and get them to re-create the scene while he records them with his phone. He will threaten to physically punish them if they don’t comply.
In total, the man has brought the victims to the hotel 24 times. The abuse only ends after the girl told her mother that she did not want to meet the man anymore as she was physically abused by him.
She did not tell her mother about the sexual abuse as she thinks that her mother will not believe her.
In 2018, the man met the girl by chance and gave her his contact details. The girl later contacted the man to ask for cigarettes. He then told the girl to go over to his place where he has sex with the girl. The meet up continues for multiple times in exchange for money and cigarettes.
The man was only exposed after the girl’s brother was arrested for theft and having sex with a minor.
After the boy was charged, he has gone for a mandatory psychological assessment at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) and the result shows that the boy was sexually abused when he was younger.
The police were alerted and the man was arrested. The man was later diagnosed as a paedophile with a high risk of sexual offending due to his past history.
According to the law, for each of his offences, the man could face a jail term up to 20 years and with a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
