58-year-old Feng Xiuyi was charged with voluntarily causing hurt and sentenced to 5 weeks of jail after he assaults a doctor at Singapore General Hospital.
The incident happened on 18 Feb 2020 in the afternoon, the victim who visited the doctor said that he as knee pain and was seeking medical advice.
However, when the doctor asked if he was feeling any pain the victim burst into anger and said: “If I am not in pain, why would I come to you?“.
Before the doctor had a chance to reply, Feng stand up and punched the doctor in the head and started raining punches and even threatened the doctor that he will attack him again.
The doctor then ran out of the room and told the staff to inform security and call the Police, the doctor then locked all the doors to the room and waited for the Police to arrive. Feng tried to break open the door but failed to do so, the Police later arrived on scene and arrested the man.
