The incident happened on 10 Oct 2019 at about 4.20 pm. The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) raided the man’s place and arrested him and his girlfriend. In the process, the man resisted arrest and picked up a knife to stop the CNB officer.

He was eventually arrested after another CNB step in to help. The man then admitted to have consumed methamphetamine. Another packet was found in his possession as well.

During the court hearing, the man asked the court for a lighter sentence as he said he wishes to see his child grows up.

He was then sentenced to 7 years and 2 months of jail by the court. His sentence will be backdated to 31 Oct where he was first remanded.
