A 41-year-old man in South Korea had reportedly killed one of his workers by inserting a 70cm rod into his rectum.
He was sentenced to 25 years in prison yesterday (16 June) for the shocking murder.
The man, identified by Yonhap News Agency as Han, had committed the murder on 31 December last year, and the victim was a man in his 20s.
The murder took place at a children’s gym that Han owned in northwestern Seoul.
Han was reportedly irritated by the victim’s behaviour and they were both drinking six bottles of soju on the day of the incident.
According to the South Korean police, the deceased had died from organ rupture, with the autopsy report showing a perforation in the victim’s rectum and ruptured organs including his heart and liver.
The prosecution had sought a life sentence for Han, but had to settle for 25 years imprisonment.
