I convinced my girlfriend to wear a very revealing dress to the company function. It was a tight, low-cut dress that showed off her curves and I knew it would turn heads.
I was so sure it would be just the attention I needed to make me the center of attention.
Little did I know that my plan would backfire. As soon as we arrived at the event, people started talking about us. Not in a good way either.
They were talking about how my girlfriend was dressed and how inappropriate it was. I felt embarrassed and angry at the same time.
I knew that my plan had failed and I had made a fool out of myself.
Girlfriend stomped off
My girlfriend was also embarrassed and angry. She felt like I had objectified her and used her as an object to show off my success.
She told me that she was not going to stay with me anymore and that she was leaving. I was devastated. I had lost the one person I truly cared about because of my stupid plan.
I tried to apologize and convince her to stay but it was too late. She was gone and I was left with a feeling of emptiness.
I had ruined the one good thing in my life because of my selfishness and arrogance.
That was the last time I ever saw my girlfriend. I learned my lesson that day and I will never make the same mistake again.
I realize now that I was wrong and that I should have never asked her to do something so uncomfortable and inappropriate.
I should have treated her with respect and not used her as a tool for my own gain.
