Today I overheard my supervisor (a Malaysian), complained that things are very expensive in SG be it housing, food & transport etc, and our job is stressful. His other colleague (also a Malaysian) told him “just work few more years and can go back to buy house, but car etc unlike Singaporeans like them can’t go anywhere”. And they start mocking and laughing.

It’s not right that You come to our country to earn our money (SGD) and still got the cheek to mock, or even bully us for some.

- Why so butthurt? And who say Singaporeans got nowhere to go? Plenty of opportunities internationally, lots of lower cost retirement destinations too. Many Singaporeans dowan to go anywhere else cos too comfortable here.
my fren left hometown 20 years ago to work in sg… 20 years later go back hometown retire… got big house big car BUT the traffic lights still spoil, the river still filthy, the roads still got pot holes, frens and relatives still get rob… now he misses sg.

- The daily commute JB-SIN is hell..if they stay in Singapore, they can’t save as much. You may not want to envy their lives
- the price to pay when you choose to live across the border is time…we can earn more money but we cannot buy more time, it’s a trade off hence we need to choose wisely…the amount of stress they have to go thru traveling is something I salute
- Thats simply because they are working here and taking the money back home. If they work and survive in their own country.. they would not be singing the same song. Even giordano is freaking expensive over there.. kfc 3 pc meal is close to rm20 or more.. and they are not earning 3 times in their own currency. It is just like Singaporeans working overseas and then bringing the money home. Some work many years overseas (with stronger currency) then come home and retire confortably. It is interesting some people talk about gov again. So these people think their gov better than ours just because malaysians can go home and buy 2 cars and 2 house with what they earn over here? Open door walk the street already is scary.. like you all dont see the instability over there meh? you think vote opp in.. all of us can also buy 2 cars and own 2 houses? Please think rationally.. that will still not be possible. We have limited land space and if opp were to force all property owners to sell their houses cheap.. they also be incurring wrath of many people. So how is it possible?
