The 26-year-old man will be charged in court on 2 August 2024 with the offence of mischief by fire with intent to cause damage under Section 435 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of mischief by fire with intent to cause damage carries an imprisonment term up to seven years and shall also be liable to a fine.

The Police have zero tolerance against acts that endanger the lives or safety of others and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
