Beware of this man! He is a Romeo and a Casanova who preys on women for money and sex.
Following is an account of a victim who has fallen prey to this man:
I met Mr Edwin Tan Hang Meng (NRIC No. S6913xxx / contact no. 9021xxxx) at a Thai Disco in May 2016 and eventually became my boyfriend. Edwin first impressed me with his Mercedes and claimed to be a businessman but he was actually a limo driver turned “Grab” driver. I accepted him as what he was, regardlessly.
He claimed that he loved me and supported me which I believed him. When he asked for money for his side-business, I transferred my hard-earned money of $22,500 to him. Once he got my money and repaid only $2,500, he was nowhere to be found and not contactable. His Toa Payoh home address given to me was false too.
On top of that, I found out that he has many women including a 19 year old student from NUS.
Worst of all, he is married. I wish to take this chance to caution other women out there to check their partner’s background first.
I have lodged a police report against Edwin and the report number is
G/20170426/2000. I have also reported my case to the “Victim Support Centre” supported by Crime Library (Singapore) to published my post to warn other women.
