MAN PUT $150 INTO COIN-DEPOSIT MACHINE BUT ONLY $120 COUNTED, DBS: “MACHINE NO PROB, NO REFUND”

Facebook user Michael Ng shared how he counted and deposited $150 worth of coins into a DBS coin deposit machine.

However, he said that the machine only counted about $119.70 in the final amount from the coins that he deposited, with about $30.30 missing from the final count.

Ng added that he then tried reaching out to DBS for help and they allegedly told him that their machine was fine and that there was no fault with it and refused to give him a refund for th missing amount.

He lamented how the machine is not as accurate as claimed and said that although the receipt stated that he only deposited one piece of a 10-cent coin, he had actually put in many more in the machine.

He then added that he will be avoiding the DBS coin deposit machines “like the plague” and only exchange coins with hawkers from now on.

I have counted and deposited $150 worth of various coin denominations into the machine but the final amount calculated was only $119.70. A difference of $30.30 was missing from the final amount.

Long story short, after 2 weeks of calling and chasing DBS, they have concluded that there was no fault with the machine and thus, no refund for the discrepant amount.

As seen from the receipt, it shows only a single 10 cent coin deposited when in fact, there should be many more. This alone shows that the machine is not as accurate as they claim. From now on, I will avoid these DBS coin deposit machines like the plague and only exchange coins with those hawker stalls.

   if you feel the counting is wrong, you could reject, and the whole amount should vomit back wrong?
