MAN ROBS SHOP WITH KNIFE AND GETS AWAY WITH 8 PACKS OF CIGARETTES, ARRESTED

A 40-year-old man was arrested on 19 April for allegedly being involved in an armed robbery at Bukit Batok Street 52.

The police were alerted to a case of robbery at about 4.25am.

The man was armed with a knife and demanded the victim open the cashier.

He then took 8 packs of cigarette before fleeing the scene.

The robber was arrested within 2 hours with the help of CCTVs and he is due to be charged in court today (20 April).
