MAN SAID THAT MONEY CAN NOT BUY HAPPINESS AFTER EARNING ALMOST $1M

A man shared a story stating the amount of money one has does not equate to happiness after investing in stocks and earning almost a million dollars.

But many disagree and said that the amount of money has directly impacted the happiness level. What do you guys think?

Here is the story:

I been working part-time and odd jobs since I was 16. In that time I have also invested since 18 and with sheer luck, I am close to being a millionaire now(had an amazing run in 2020).

No one knows but it has chipped at my motivation for school. Knew that it would take me years to earn the same amount. And given the return, if I would get from S&P 500 I should be able to just cruise on in life without ever finding a job.

The lesson learnt here is money really doesn’t bring happiness, but it sure does make life a lot less stressful and reduces your motivation for almost everything as well.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Yes, and daydreaming about being a millionaire does make life a lot less stressful too
  • Weird flex but okay
  • It’s all fun and games till the S&P eventually goes down. Hope you’ve been cashing out consistently or have some cash for the bad years
  • Because you don’t have enough money lah. If you have one billion, things would be vastly different.
