Facebook user Caster Lee shared how he sent his car for a washing session at a carwash at Yishun, and he later discovered that his car was dented.

On 29/4/2023, During a car washing session with Shell Petrol station operator (AUTOCLASSIC ENTERPRISE WEST PTE LTD) opposite Northpoint Yishun , I was signalled to move forward after a wet cleaning.
Upon moving forward, I heard a loud bang on my car ( loud enough to be hear clearly from the inside of the car), caused by the worker (Vinoth)who was cleaning the tyres one hand holding a sponge and one hand holding a Brush.
I didn’t get down the car throughout the whole washing process and hence, didn’t realised that a dent was formed till later when I got home.
To my dismay, when approached back to the car wash operator after 30min from my home, not only did the worker refused to admit his wrong doing , he was also not apologetic and many excuses were given.
I have also brought up the matter to their management Mr. Chris from AUTOCLASSIC ENTERPRISE WEST PTE LTD and I was extremely disappointed with their reluctance to take up the responsibility and neither were they apologetic as well.
I have also asked them to review the CCTV only to be told that it is not working (so coincidental).
Beside, I am paying for the additional service of water wax and tyre cleaning. Although it was raining after they started the washing , the worker Vinoth said it’s finish and requesting for payment of $22 (wash $12 + water wax $5 + tyre cleaning $5) as he mentioned it’s raining so they dont need to dry the car and also apply the tyre shine.
I Dont agree and told him I am payment for the additional service and they should have complete the course of washing. I also informed this to their management but Mr.Chris refuse to give an explanation on this matter too.
I am writing this to bring awareness to car drivers to be vigilant when sending their vehicles for car wash services especially if you decide to visit this one at Shell Yishun (opposite Northpoint).
It is important to inspect the car properly before and after the service to ensure that there are no damages or irregularities which often we might overlooked. It is a lesson learnt for me and I hope no one have to go through the same experience as me.
In view of this, I have chosen to take no further action and will take up the repair costs myself. With this, I hope to spread awareness of this incident, in order to warn other drivers to be wary of such incidences.
