According to a Police Media release, a man was shot earlier today in the wee hours. The Police conducted a raid against a condominium unit located at 235 Balestier(City Suites) for a series of cheating offences.
Four people were found in the unit and right after the Police entered the unit, one of the men dashed forward and started to attack one of the Police Officers. Other officers on the scene immediately warn the man to comply and told him to stop fighting the other Police officer.
Another 22-year-old suspect wanted to join in and attack the officer that was already on the floor.
The Police officer that was attacked suffered from injuries and he was bleeding from the face.
Gunshot
The Police had no choice but to put his revolver at the suspect but the suspect continued to attack another Police officer after the suspect noticed that the Police was pointing a gun at him, the suspect dashed forward and tried to snatch the gun.
The officer had no choice and had to fire a shot at the suspect which landed on his abdomen.
“This did not immediately stop (the 36-year-old man) from his attempt to snatch the second officer’s revolver and the struggle continued,” said SPF.
4 People Arrested
- A 36-year-old man who is a gang member which is related to drug offences.
- 22-year-old former Police Supervisee
- A 33-year-old woman is also wanted for failing to attend court.
- 23-year-old woman
Investigations are ongoing.
