A 50-year-old man was arrested on 7 Nov 2020 for attacking her woman by hitting her in the head with a metal cup at Golden Mile Food centre around 5.30 pm. The police were alerted and the victim was conveyed to Raffle Hospital after the police arrival.
Apparently, the root cause of the attack was due to two toothpicks. It is reported that the man approached the victim asking for two toothpicks. The victim agreed to give it to the man. However, after seeing the man having difficulties in removing the toothpicks from the holder she told him to pour it out instead.
This was when the man turned violent and started to hurl vulgarities at her while walking away. The man later picked up a metal cup from a table and hit the woman’s head with it twice.
Luckily, several Certis Cisco officers who were taking a break were present during the attack and came to aid the injured woman.
