MAN SMASHES CAR WITH WOODEN PLANK, SHATTERS WINDOW WITH DRIVER INSIDE

A video emerged online showing a man armed with a wooden plank, using it to smash the windscreen of a car at an open carpark.

The impact shattered the windscreen of the vehicle with the driver still inside the car.

The driver then drove away and fled from the aggressor, with the wooden plank still resting on the windscreen of the car.

The incident purportedly happened on 20 April at about 8.57pm, at an open carpark at Block 415 Hougang Avenue 10.

it is unclear what caused the act of aggression, or what happened after.

Vandalism

The stealing, destroying, or damaging of any private and/or public property is an offence under Section 2 of the Vandalism Act.

Persons found guilty of vandalism face a fine of up to $2,000, or a jail term of up to 3 years, and caning of between 3 to 8 strokes.
