MAN STABBED EX GF WITH A KNIFE AFTER BREAKUP NEGOTIATION TURNED SOUR

According to a media release, a 29-year-old man was arrested after he stabbed his ex-girlfriend with a knife. The accuse was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons.

The incident happened on 12 Jun 2020 around 2.30 AM at a rooftop garden of a multi-storey carpark located at Block 673 Yishun Avenue 4.

According to a resident, a few police cars were spotted on the scene and the police were seen investigating at the fourth and eighth floor of Block 675C Yishun Avenue 4.

Apparently, the victim and the accuse has met each other at the rooftop garden for negotiation about their breakup. The accuse stabbed the victim in her abdomen with a knife after the negotiation turned sour.

After the victim was stabbed she managed to escape from the accuse and seek help from her family. It is believed that the victim has climbed 4 storeys of stairs to reach her unit. As blood was spotted on the handle of the stairs and blood handprint was found on the door as well.

The victim was later sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.

According to the law, if convicted of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons the accuse could face up to 7 years imprisonment with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
