Soon Xian Feng, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment on Thursday as well as one more unrelated charge of entering a victim’s home to steal $150.
He had stalked two residents of a flat after the two rejected his gift, and the stalking lasted from February to July earlier this year.
He also left cigarette butts near their front door and threw eggs on the floor outside.
The victims cannot be identified due to a gag order protecting their identities.
What happened?
Sometime in February, Soon left a package that contained a jar of cookies and two jerseys outside the victims’ home with a letter stating that he wanted to be friends.
The victims then returned the package to Soon’s father, which upset him and he started stalking them.
On 24 February, he removed some Chinese New Year decorations that were outside the victims’ home and continue his harassment between April and July.
He also took their footwear, doormat, and a parcel from outside their home and threw it down a rubbish chute.
Separately in an unrelated offense, he entered a flat at Clementi and stole $150 on 26 February 2020.
Soon is expected to be sentenced on 7 February 2022.
