My friend is an ite graduate. After he ord, he work as a facility executive in a sme. Salary 1.9k. No ot pay.
After he work for 1 year, he got promoted and got $200 increment. After that he get $50 yearly increment, this is what his other colleagues get too.
After working for 3 years, he found a job with a bank. Salary is higher so he tender resignation.
The gm ask him to stay, by offering him ot pay.
He did a calculation. With ot pay, he will earn more than what the bank is offering him. He also likes the job as there is freedom as the gm does not disturb him. If he works in the bank, most likely there will be lots of ppl disturbing him as its a big company with lots of hierarchy.
So he withdraw his resignation and reject the bank job.
6 months later, the gm hire a manager to be in charge of him. The manager always taiji give him more work to do.
Now he everyday go to work, thinking wtf happen.

- Word of advice… once you tendered a resignation, never…never be persuaded to stay…mgt persuaded cos of your surprise resignation…and will replace you as soon… that’s business…continuity…
- if you resign never withdraw your resignation, because your boss will not trust you anymore and will secretly find trouble with you.
- Number one rule never use another offer to threaten your current employer. Just leave.
