Singapore Police Swiftly Arrest 30-Year-Old Man for Theft in Dwelling, Recover Stolen Items Worth $6.2 Million
In a remarkable display of swift and effective policing, the Singapore Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a high-value theft case in a residential unit along Cairnhill Circle. The stolen items, including a gemstone and a branded luxury watch, were valued at a staggering $6,200,000.

The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft in dwelling.
On 2 July 2024 at about 9.00pm, the Police were alerted to a case of theft where a gemstone and a branded luxury watch, valued at a total of $6,200,000, were allegedly stolen from a residential unit along Cairnhill Circle.
Through follow-up investigations and ground enquiries, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and swiftly arrested him within 20 hours. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had also allegedly stolen a handbag, one pair of sandals and one pair of sneakers valued at a total of $46,200 from the same residential unit. The stolen items were subsequently recovered.
The man will be charged in court on 5 July 2024 with the offence of theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of theft in dwelling carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.Â
