A man shared how he stopped his ex wife from visiting their son after he found him with pink dyed hair.
Here is the story:
I have full custody of my 10yo son. His mom was hanging out with some bad people. Over the last few years, I’ve allowed her to spend weekends with him.
He’s at that age where he is pushing boundaries and I’m fine with it as long as it is within limits. I picked him up from tuition on Monday and he was wearing a hat, which was weird. He never wears any sort of hat.
He said he had a surprise and showed off pink hair. It was done almost professionally with chemicals. He has light brown hair that she got bleached and then had pink dye put in.
I asked his mom about it and she said they did it on a whim. It took forever to find someone to do it. Then she said our son thought I’d like it. I told her I was angry that it was over the top with the bleaching and dye. She should have ran it by me first
After thinking about it, I decided no more weekend visits. This obviously upset her. My son doesn’t know about it but understands that the weekend thing is not a guarantee. I’m not opposed to her seeing him at my house.
If my son asked, I would not let him bleach his hair. I’d seriously let him get his nose pierced before bleaching his hair.
