
Lim Beng Wei, 57-years-old, pleaded guilty of 9 September to one charge of public nuisance; he had thrown a raw pork born into a Mosque’s balcony in full view of the members.
2 other charges for public nuisance, with one of them for throwing another bone and another for throwing butter onto the roof of the Singapore Musical Box Museum at 168 Telok Ayer Street, will be considered for sentencing.
What happened?
On 14 January, Lim had purchased 2 raw pork bones from a supermarket in Tanjong Pagar and headed to Masjid Al-Abrar at 192 Telok Ayer Street, with the intention of throwing it at the mosque.
He reached the building, took the bone from the packaging and threw it onto the balcony on the 2nd floor of the mosque.
He was caught by the mosque’s CCTV.
Lim was revealed to be suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia during the time when he committed the offence.
He is due to be sentenced on 13 October.
