A netizen wrote a response to a man who only got a minimum salary increment after working for several years.
Here is what he suggests:
I highly suggest that you need to look elsewhere. In fact, you had 5 years of experience and yet you still get below 3k is really killing yourself.
Here’s my story, i started off in a man, i get $3000 as fresh grad. I stay around 3 years and left while having 3.6k. My first jump got me to 4.5k and i stayed another 3 years. I left again for the next jump while drawing 5k and I got 6.2k on second jump. I stayed for a while this time, promoted to senior and i am getting 7.5k now.
I hear from my boss that my max for senior exec could fetch up to 14k. But that’s the case if I want to stay as a senior exec for the rest of my life as it is the highest non-leadership role. He mentions that if I do well, I can start to handle a few headcounts under me and promote to AM. That could give me a base of 9k at least.
I am almost 35 years old now and getting 7.5k per month, I think it’s really not bad already.
So I think you need to re-look into your options and go for the company that does not lowball you. I am doing logistics and supply chain which I think is comparable to your job scope in procurement. You might as well use me as a benchmark.
