Another 3 more charges were taken into consideration during his sentencing.

He had become angry because the taxi driver couldn’t hear him when he told him where he wanted to go, he then threw his burger at him and punched his face.

What happened?

Salem was drunk when he boarded a taxi on 14 March in front of a McDonald’s restaurant at Northpoint.

The taxi driver, a 65-year-old man asked him where he wanted to go.

Salem was eating his burger at the time and the driver couldn’t make out what he was saying, so he asked him again where his destination was.

Salem then got angry and used vulgarities on the victim, before throwing his burger at the driver and hitting his chest.

He then grabbed the driver by the collar and punched him in the face.

A passerby heard the commotion and went to see what happened, he then called the police.

When the officers arrived, they noticed that Salem reeked of alcohol and was being very aggressive towards the passerby.

He was ordered to compensate the pub.
