A 57 year year old man who fell into a pit outside a coffeeshop at Block 732 Yishun Ave 5 is planning to take legal action against the town council.

It was believed that the man stepped onto a grease trap cover which was unstable which led him to fall into it. Passers-by who saw the incident came forward to help. As a result the man pulled his back muscle and suffered cuts and bruises on his right knee.
The man called the police and he was treated at the scene by paramedics. He initially declined to be taken to the hospital but he went to Mount Elizabeth Hospital later in the day for treatment when the pain became worse.
His medical bill amounted to a total of $600.
