A 54-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Mar 28) after allegedly firing multiple shots in Taipei’s Zhongzheng District.

According to reports, the man, identified as Mr. Zhang, discharged his long gun three times, shattering the glass door of the office building on Yuanping South Road. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, but the shocking scene of the suspect’s arrest has been revealed.
Mr. Zhang was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and yellow slippers when he was taken into custody. Police found a loaded long gun and a short gun at the scene, along with five anti-riot rounds and two short gun magazines. The weapons were loaded and ready to fire, indicating that the suspect had significant firepower.
Additionally, a black bag belonging to Mr. Zhang was found at the scene, containing a black belt, two loaves of bread, one roll of tape, and two bottles of coffee. The motive behind the shooting is still unclear, and the authorities are currently investigating the incident.
