A man was caught smashing the windshields of four vehicles in Geylang to steal the cashcards inside before fleeing the scene.
He was caught on CCTV and was seen cutting his hand in the process, which was bleeding.
The incident happened on 21 May at about 2.20am along Geylang Road, according to Shin Min Daily News.
A man who was working nearby, Qiu, said that one of the vehicles that was smashed belonged to an owner of a shop nearby.
The owner found out that the cashcards were missing and called the police, and the CCTV footage showed the bald-headed perpetrator smashing the windshields and reaching into the vehicles to steal the cashcards.
He then fled the scene and threw away the wooden stick that he used to smash the vehicles, onto a grass patch nearby.
The police confirmed that they were alerted to the incident on 21 May at about 8.18am, and at the time of writing, police investigations are still ongoing.
