I want my bath time to be alone but my wife doesn’t accept it
I (27) usually take baths on Fridays after a week of work to relax. I usually take these baths at 8pm and it’s become a routine.
This is strictly a solo experience and I just sit in the tub with my iPad and relax. My wife (25) has caught on to my routine and showed interests of wanting to join me but I don’t want her to.
Last Friday, she asked if she could join but I said no because I wanted my alone time in the bath. She came into the toilet while I was watching a video and tried to get in but I told her to leave.
She took my iPad and tried to get me to chase her but I didn’t, so she got upset and left. This week, I made sure to lock the door so she could get in.
I heard her trying to open the door and jokingly mocked her about it. When I got out, she was being immature and said she was having alone time on the bed so I couldn’t get on until she was done.
I just said whatever and went to the couch to chill out. She came out and asked me why I didn’t want her in the bath with me and I told her I just want my alone time.
She claimed I already have enough alone time at work, but I said it doesn’t count because I’m with my coworkers.
I’m trying to get my wife to respect my need for alone time but she doesn’t seem to respect it.
I want to know how I can convince her to let me have this one night a week to myself because I know she’s going to try something next week.
Advice would be appreciated
