
The Singapore police said in a news release that a 59-year-old man was arrested on 20 March for allegedly committing assault and robbery at Toa Payoh.

He allegedly assaulted and robbed a man of $210 in cash along Toa Payoh Lorong 6.
The 59-year-old was then identified by Tangling Police Division officers and through ground enquiries and CCTV footage, and he was arrested within 4 hours of the police report.
He is due to be charged in court on 22 March under robbery with hurt, under section 394 of the Penal Code.
He faces a jail term of up to 20 years and a minimum 12 strokes of the cane upon conviction.
