From a Secondary 3 Retainer to the Youngest Head of Department
I hope my story shared as a inspiration to all who had struggles as a child. I never brilliant or bright academically to began with. I remember retaining my secondary 3 again and to make matters worse my teacher just told me in my face I will never make in life. I took that as a motivation and worked really hard , I stared my career as a football coach and slowly progress my way to a Head of Department at a international school without any degree at 27 year old , making me the youngest HOD in the private education sector. All the way I had my fair share of struggles as well but I understood if you sincerely work hard on your craft and are dedicated you can definitely go far. I’m not saying degree is not important, it’s is important especially if you climb higher but there organisation and school that value your craft as a teacher as well. After 4 coach of the year award , 2 assistant coach of the year award and one coaching excellence award which I did on the sideline I’m now embarking on a new journey to try and inspire the disadvantages community!
