The man who was shot by a police officer at Clementi earlier this year, faced three new charges in court on Thursday.
Soo Cheow Wee, was charged with punching an Aetos officer in June 2019, committing a rash act, and breaching a personal protection order in 2021.
Soo appeared in court via a video link and told the court that he is intending to plead guilty.
Fresh charges
The 49-year-old man, is being accused of punching an Aetos officer on his left temple on 9 June 2019, at about 6.40pm.
He was also charged with allegedly breaching a personal protection order that was taken against him by a woman for family violence.
He had allegedly thrown an aerosol can at her inside a Clementi unit.
Soo’s third charge for allegedly committing a rash act, correlates to the same aforementioned incident where he threw the can.

Soo was shot by police officers during a stand-off outside Clementi Police Division on 17 February earlier this year.
He had allegedly charged at one of the officers while holding a knife, and prior to the standoff, he allegedly slashed a 41-year-old man with a knife at the vicinity of Block 420A Clementi Avenue 1.
