MANAGER IN F&B SAYS VERY COMMON TO GET ‘KICKBACKS’ FROM SUPPLIERS

I am a manager in the food and beverage industry, and I have been in this line of work for almost a decade now.

Throughout my career, I have come across many situations where suppliers offer monetary kickbacks to restaurants in exchange for their business.

This is a common practice in the F&B industry.

The way it works is that a supplier of food or beverage items may offer a specific discount or rebate to a restaurant.

This incentivizes the restaurant to purchase their products over another supplier’s.

The supplier may also offer a one-time payment or a regular commission in exchange for the restaurant’s loyalty.

This is what is referred to as a “kickback”.

The kickback may be offered in the form of cash, a gift card, or some other type of gift.

They can also come in the form of discounts or free products. The supplier may even offer a free trip or vacation for the restaurant’s staff.

This is a way for the supplier to gain business and also increase their sales.

I have seen many restaurants take advantage of these kickbacks.

It works both ways, some F&B staff even work with suppliers to cheat the company of some money.

To do this, the supplier will create ‘fake invoices’ for the staff who is ordering the supplies.

For example, instead of 5 cartons of beer they will make the invoice as 8 cartons or so and when the supplier receives the money, they will split with the person that is ordering.

Of course there are positives in these kickbacks from a business perspective.

It’s a great way for restaurants to save money and still get the quality products they need.

It also allows them to expand their product selection and be more competitive in their market. Many restaurants use the kickbacks to purchase food and beverage items at a discounted price.

This can help them increase their profit margin and help them stay competitive.

However, there are some risks associated with taking kickbacks.

The supplier may not always be trustworthy or have the best intentions.

It’s important to be aware of the supplier’s reputation and to make sure that they are providing quality products and services.
