Manager upset I’ve put in my two week notice
I put in my two week notice at my job as a cook after working there for 4 months as I’ve found a better job that’s more pay and more convenient for me.
I could tell my manager was salty and he started to act indifferent towards me. It’s hilarious that they expect me to continue to work somewhere that is no longer convenient to me simply because they will have more work to do and will have to go through the hassle of hiring someone else, but this is not my problem.
I understand I was an asset to their company but I have to do what’s right for my situation and my LIFE regardless of how short I worked there.
I can’t wait to move on to my new opportunity as this will serve me way better than my current job. I did my fair share of work there, I could care less who’s peace I disrupt if I am doing things appropriately like putting my 2 weeks and continuing to help out until then.
My physical, mental, and my financial health are my priorities.

- This is why you don’t give notice. You are not obligated to give notice, and it is not even a courtesy to do so. They will never give you 2 weeks’ notice when they decide to fire you. It’s only a courtesy if it is reciprocated. If you want to give notice, do so at the end of your last shift. Otherwise, just stop showing up for work. They will figure it out.

If they get unreasonable, you can always tell them that the 2 weeks was a courtesy and you could just leave immediately. (If that doesn’t cause you any problems.)
