
According to a media release, a nightclub located in Jalan Besar was fined S$20,000 earlier today over a few complications with the law that has been ongoing for the past 4 years.
One of which is preventing the assualt of the Vietnamese Hostess from the nightclub Manager.
57-year-old Quek Swee Meng who is the licensee of the nightclub pleaded guilty to flouting regulations of public entertainment license along with 5 other similar kinds of charges.
The incident happened on 27 September 2017, the manager Quek Wei Loon slapped one of the Vietnamese hostess’s faces twice after finding out that she has vandalized the mirror in the toilet.
The prosecutor said that the accused has not to take action to prevent the occurrence of assaults in the nightclub.
The nightclub faces other legal issues like failing to keep proper employment records, patrons gamble within the premises and entertainers drinking with patrons was also found out during a Police spot check.
