A man shared how he is described as a “manly man” but he watches animal rescue videos when he’s drunk and cries like a baby when his wife isn’t around.
Here is the story
I get drunk, watch animal rescue videos and cry like a baby when my wife isn’t home.
I’m what most people would consider a “manly man”.
On weekends when my wife works overnights I usually get a bottle of whiskey and watch YouTube animal rescue videos. I get so emotional seeing an animal being rescued, I bawl like a little girl. I’m talking full on tears streaming down my face.
Edit: For those mentioning some people put animals purposely in those situations for YouTube videos; with this channel, it is not the case.
The channel is The Dodo. Which mostly shows abused/neglected animals being cared for and rehabilitated in foster homes until they find their forever home.
Drunk me can’t resist the urge to click on those videos and the savvy programmers at YouTube know it…
Netizen’s comments
- I have used alcohol to elicit emotional reactions. It’s cathartic. Keep doing it if you need to.
- Try it without the alcohol see if you get the same results. Let us know.
- It’s good. Although maybe if you feel that strongly about animal rescue you could volunteer to help at one.
Nothing against getting drunk. But those animals need you, man!
- Go help the cause and come home and crack a tall one!
Everyone needs a way to let out emotions built up over time. Doesn’t really matter how often you do this, it helps your mind. This seems healthier than other means of doing so.
