A netizen by the alias of Sebastian Huang on Facebook recently shared that he was conned by a carouseller who wanted to buy his Rolex.

The carouseller had asked to see the serial number and warranty card of his Rolex and in a swift action, swapped the man’s Rolex with a fake one.
The man sensed something amiss and checked on the Rolex when he got home, only to discover that it had been too late.
A Police report has also been made by the man and the man is seeking for assistance should anyone chance upon his Rolex.
He wants to share this to prevent more people from falling victim to this Carouseller or even to this kind of unfortunate situations.
Here is what he said
Dear all, my watch has been swapped and stolen by a Carousel user by the name of ‘karthikzwgheks’. It is a Rolex Submariner 116610LN with the serial number AM028600.
Long story short, this is how it happened:
He was standing on my right at first and moved to my left requesting to see the serial number and warranty card. After that he walked past my back to my right and kept the watch into the box in front of me saying he will be back later. He immediately left and i took the lift back home.
I felt a litttle uneasy and checked my watch immediately when i got home. It was then that I realised that my watch has been swapped when I checked against the serial number on my warranty card.
Throughout, I was standing right next to him (at most 15cm apart) and the only time he left my sight was he walked past my back to my right to ‘return’ me the watch in the box.
A police report has been made. Pls do let me know if you’ve come across this watch.
