A netizen shared a story of himself working in a 2nd hand bag jobs and said that she have customers coming in to sell fake branded bags almost every other day.
Here is the story:
I work in a 2nd hand branded goods store and my job is to verify goods that come in. Sometimes on a good day, I get to check more than 10 different kinds of bags. But almost every other day there will be some xmm that comes in with a fake bag.
They will often say that they want to sell it or either said that they got the bag for a cheap deal and wants to know if it’s fake.
There was one incident when one 18-year-old looking girl came in and told me to verify the bag. I check and found out that it was a very well done replicate and I almost thought it was real.
I told her that the bag is not real and she asked me how similar is it to the real thing, I told her about 80-90%. She replied:
“That is good enough, like that my friends won’t know”
I told her of course they will know the real bag is more than $8000. She looks blur and asked me why. I answered her question with another question.
“Are you seen as a rich daughter among your friends?”
She said no, I told her then your friends will either think it’s fake or you have “daddy” paying for you outside.
She said: “It’s ok, as long as I look cool in front of my friends”.
