12 Teenagers Arrested for Alleged Group Assault of 15-Year-Old Boy in Pasir Ris
A disturbing incident of group violence has shaken the community in Pasir Ris, with 12 teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, arrested for allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old boy at a multi-storey car park on July 15.
According to reports, the group of teenagers, comprising both boys and girls, had arranged to meet the 15-year-old victim at the car park located at Block 530 Pasir Ris Drive 1 at around 5:30 pm for what was supposed to be a “negotiation”. However, the meeting took a violent turn, and a fight broke out, leaving the young victim injured.
The police have confirmed that the 12 teenagers were arrested for rioting, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) rushed the 15-year-old boy to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, no other individuals were reported to be injured in the incident.
The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the altercation, and it remains unclear what sparked the violence. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of promoting peaceful conflict resolution and respect for others, especially among young people.
