According to a Police media release, three men between 19 and 22 were arrested for assaulting a man on Monday (16 December 2019) for their suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon.Â
The incident happened on 16 December 2019 at around 5.20 am along Pasir Ris Street 52 , the Police were alerted to an assault case and the victim who was found with multiple injuries.
He was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
According to the Police:
“Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the three men and arrested them along Jalan Loyang Besar on the same day.“
“The three men will be charged in court on 18 December 2019 for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon with common intention under Section 324 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon may be punished with an imprisonment term of up to 7 years, and shall also be liable to a fine or caning.“
