28-year-old rapper Kirshnik Khari Ball (better known as Takeoff) from the rap group Migos, was shot dead on Tuesday at a private party in Houston.
He died at the age of 28.
The shooting took place at 2.30am (local time) outside a billiards and bowling alley where Takeoff was playing some dice games with his bandmate Quavo and his uncle.
They were at a private party with about 40 to 50 guests when he was shot in the head, and police found a large crowd and a man with a gunshot wound to the head when they arrived.
Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities said that two others were injured and conveyed to the hospital in private vehicles, and no arrests have been made, yet.
Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner appealed at a press conference for witnesses to step forward, so that they can “bring some closure to this family who’s hurting right now.”
