An “administrative error” has caused a migrant worker who was infected with the Covid-19 virus to be informed of his test result 3 weeks after being swabbed.

The delay in tranferring the worker to a medical facility sparked concerns, not least because there were 11 others living with him.

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Ministry of Health (MOH) have both apologised.

A netizen posted the entire ordeal onto her Facebook last week (July 15).

MOM and MOH released a joint statement addressing the hiccup: “We apologise for the error and consequent delay in conveying the test results to the worker and tohis employer. We have since reached out to the employer to explain the situation.”
