The Ministry of Health (MOH) has just provided information on the vaccination statistics in Singapore as of 24th January 2022 on their Facebook page.
In their post, the urged Singaporeans to go and get their booster jabs done and also said that Singapore is currently one of the top few in the world with the highest vaccination rates.
They added that vaccines can give the necessary protection against the virus and also the new Omicron variant.
Vaccination Statistics in Singapore
According to the poster image put up by MOH, the statistics shown only applies to the vaccines that are under the national vaccination program as of 24 January 2022.
Vaccines in Singapore which are under the national vaccination program are:
- Pfizer-BioNTech/COMIRNATY
- Moderna
- Sinovac-CoronaVac
Vaccination in Singapore is free for all Singaporeans and long-term residents.
Getting vaccinated also minimises the chances that one may contract the virus and if one should contract the virus, the symptoms will not be as much as those that are unvaccinated.
Received at least one dose: 4.91 million people in Singapore or 91 percent of the total population have received at least one dose or in other words are partially vaccinated.
Fully vaccinated: 4.75 million people in Singapore or 91 percent of the medically eligible population or 88 percent of the total population have been fully vaccinated.
Received booster jab: 3.02 million people in Singapore or 56 percent of the total population have received a third booster jab.
